Introducing Our New Extra Special Bitter – Now Pouring at Brewmanity!
We’ve got something extra special hitting the taps at Brewmanity this July!
Say hello to our freshly brewed Extra Special Bitter (ESB), a rich, copper-hued English style classic crafted on-site by our Head Brewer, Tim Miller.
To celebrate the launch, we’re throwing the ESB a proper welcome at the brewery on Wednesday July 16 – complete with a brewer’s shout, roaming party pies, plenty of good company, and a spot of Extra Special Trivia for those who are up for it.
Clocking in at 4.8% ABV, this brew brings all the depth and balance of a traditional English pub ale, without the heavy hit. It’s smooth, sessionable, and absolutely packed with character.
Pouring a deep copper, the ESB offers aromas of nutty, bready malt with a hint of residual sweetness. We’ve lightly carbonated it to replicate that authentic cask ale experience, then balanced it with subtle herbal hop notes from traditional Fuggles and East Kent Goldings (EKG). The malt base built on Marris Otter with Light and Medium Crystal malts gives this beer a rounded, warming depth that’s made for relaxed afternoons and long conversations
If you’re one of our rugby-loving mates visiting for the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia, this beer’s arrived just in time. With a few matches being played down under, Brewmanity is your go-to stop for a fresh pour of ESB, brewed with a nod to traditional UK styles perfect for homesick fans or curious locals looking to experience a taste of the old country.
